General Information

All student parking permits/decals are sold on-line through our on-line parking permit e-Market site.  There is limited parking on campus and permits may sell out the first day they are placed on sale. Only one permit may be purchased at a time.  All permits and decals are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure you print and bring your receipt to our office or you will NOT, under ANY circumstances, be given your permit.

On-campus housing residents, do NOT purchase a general parking permit as they are not valid for overnight parking.  Residents of University Village are also not eligible to purchase general parking permits and must find alternate forms of transportation to and from Campus.

Parking is extremely limited and the purchase of a permit does not guarantee you a parking location; therefore, we highly encourage those who live within a mile of the Campus to leave your vehicles at home and find alternnate forms of transportation.  For additional information regarding these alternate forms of transportation, please visit the Transportation and Parking Services website.

On-Campus Housing (B) & University Village (UV) Parking Permits

On-campus housing residents and University Village residents can ONLY purchase on-campus housing parking permits (B) or University Village (UV) as appropriate.  Do NOT purchase a general (G) parking permit as you cannot park your vehicle on campus property overnight or you will be subject to citation.  If we are sold out of either permit you will need to find off-campus parking alternatives.  University Village (UV) residents may NOT purchase a general (G) parking permit, nor are the UV parking permits valid in any of the campus parking lots.

Fall Semester On-Campus Housing/University Village Parking Permits - Parking permits for on-campus housing and University Village residents are initially distributed on a lottery basis, which typically runs during the month of July; contact the Housing Office for exact dates.  All students who have a bed assignment in any residential hall are eligible to enter the lottery; contact the Housing Office if you are unsure about your eligibility.  Information regarding the lottery is sent by the Housing Office to the students via their Wildcat e-mail .  Lottery "winners" will be notified via e-mail with the e-Market link and instructions on how to purchase their permit.  All permits not purchased by the expiration date will be released and made available for purchase by all other on-campus housing residents beginning at 9:00 am on the Tuesday following the priority period. 

Spring Semester On-Campus Housing/University Village Parking Permits Students who purchased on-campus housing parking permits in the fall semester are given first priority to purchase an on-campus housing parking permit for the spring semester.  In December, the Housing Office will send fall permit purchasers an e-mail with instructions for buying their spring parking permit.  All permits not claimed by this group will be available for purchase by other on-campus housing residents beginning at 9:00 am on the Tuesday following the priority period.   

Faculty Staff Parking Permits

All faculty/staff parking permits and motorcycle decals are sold in person in the Cashiering Office, Student Services Center Room 230.

F/S and reserved permits are sold via payroll deduction.  Payroll deduction form for State-side employees is available in the Cashiering Office.  Associated Students and Foundation employees must pick up form in your Human Resources Office and bring completed/signed form with you. 

Semester general permits and motorcycle permits are sold in the Cashiering Office beginning the Monday before each semester.

*Faculty/staff and reserved permits are paid via payroll deduction.  The deductions are spread over nine pay periods throughout the academic year, September through May.

Refunds

To receive a refund, return the parking permit to Student Financial Services, Student Services Center Room 230.  The refund will be processed based upon the schedule below:

Faculty/Staff and Reserved Permits (Payroll Deduction Only)

Payroll deductions for parking permits returned by the last business day prior to the tenth day of the calendar month will cease in that month’s pay period. No refund will be allowed for any partial month of parking privileges. If qualified, a refund will be calculated and a check mailed to you.


Permit Regulations and Lots

Parking regulations and frequently asked questions are published and enforced by the University Police. Parking of automobiles and motorcycles is authorized in campus-designated lots by permit only.
