Allergy Shots
The Student Health Service will continue an allergy hyposensitization program which has been started elsewhere.
Skin testing for allergies is not available. The first injection of a new program will need to be given at an allergist’s office, and a program will not be restarted if there is a time lapse of more than 60-90 days.
Before Initial Visit:
a. Drop off at the 2nd floor nurses’ station:
1. Labeled vials
2. Documentation of dates, dose, injection site and reactions (if any)
of recent injections
3. Injection schedule, instructions for adverse reactions and
adjustments for late injections
b. Schedule appointment to see a Student Health Service physician
Initial visit
a. Check in at the appointment window
b. The physician will review a health history and examine the injection materials and records
c. Plans for continued allergy injections will be discussed
d. Injections can be given during this visit, but please allow approximately 45 minutes for this appointment
Injection visits
a. Check in at the reception window with your student ID card
b. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for this appointment, students are asked to wait at least 20 minutes after injections and are to be assessed by the nursing staff prior to leaving

Monday 8-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Tuesday 8-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Wednesday 9:15-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Thursday 8-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Friday 8-11 a.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Students may resume custody of their hyposensitization material and records at any time. Students are encouraged to take their antigen with them during breaks in order to keep their program current.
Immunization
Enrollment requirement such as Hepatitis B and MMR, travel, and preventive such as meningococcal vaccine and Gardasil are available at Student Health Service.

Physical Examination
Employment, athletic, and wellness physical examination are available by appointment only.
TB Testing
TB tests are done Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on a walk-in basis only. We do not make appointments for TB tests. We can do TB tests on most Fridays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; however if the Friday is before a holiday weekend, we may not do the TB test on Friday. The hours for TB tests are: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, TB tests are done 9:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You are required to return for a reading 48 to 72 hours after the TB test is given. If you fail to return, you will be charged $10 for an additional test.This information applies to academic year only. During the summer we will only be able to do TB tests on Mondays and Tuesdays, (in the summer an additional visit fee applies).
Vaccination
Flu Vaccination
Each year the Student Health Service offers free flu shots to students. Clinics are held twice a week beginning the end of October for four weeks. After that, flu shots are given daily in the Walk-in Clinic.
Hepatitis A Vaccination**
Hepatitis A (series of 2 shots) is available for students at a cost of approximately $37 per shot.
Hepatitis B Vaccination**
Hepatitis B (series of 3 shots) is available for approximately $35 per injection.
HPV Vaccination**
Gardasil (series of 3 injections) approximately $130 per injection.
Meningitis Vaccination**
Meningococcal vaccine (Menactra) is available for approximately $108.
MMR Vaccination (Measles/Mumps/Rubella)**
MMR is available at a cost of approximately $57 per injection.
Polio Vaccination**
Available to students at a cost of approximately $39.
Tetanus Vaccination**
Tdap (Adacel) is available for approximately $43 per injection.
