University Police are trained to deal with on-campus medical emergencies. They can be contacted by dialing 911.
For the Butte County Behavioral Health Crisis Line:
Adult: (800)334-6622 or (530)891-2810
For care beyond the scope of the Student Health Service or when the Student Health Center is closed, there are several extended-hour health clinics and one hospital within two miles of campus. The cost of service at these off-campus facilities is the responsibility of the student. Therefore, it is important that all students have health insurance that provides coverage in the Chico area.
