Free Tutoring
Student may sign up for free tutoring appointments in the Student Learning Center beginning on Wednesday, February 3 at 9:00 am. Tutoring will begin Monday, February 8. Appointments must be made in person. Tutoring is offered for writing, math, sciences, foreign languages, and a variety of other academic subjects. All tutors are students recommended by faculty based on their knowledge and their commitment to helping others succeed.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Student Learning Center (SLC) is to provide services that will assist CSU, Chico students to become independent learners. The SLC prepares and supports students in their college course work by offering a variety of programs and resources to meet student needs. The SLC facilitates the academic transition and retention of students from high schools and community colleges by providing study strategy information, content subject tutoring, and supplemental instruction.
Free Tutoring by Appointment
Trained, faculty-recommended peer tutors assist in a variety of subjects:

- Chemistry
- Economics
- Foreign Languages
- History
- Mathematics
- Music
- Philosophy
- Physics
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Study Skills
- Writing
Appointments must be made at least one day in advance for tutoring and can be ongoing for the entire semester. It is best to make appointments early in the semester or as soon as you need help. Writing appointments are individual, while all other appointments are small group sessions.
Appointments must be scheduled in person in the Student Learning Center, SSC 340.
