Student Learning Center

Free Tutoring by Appointment - Sign-up now for tutoring in the Student Learning Center. Trained, faculty-recommended peer tutors assist in a variety of subjects. Appointments must be made at least one day in advance for tutoring and can be ongoing for the entire semester. It is best to make appointments early in the semester or as soon as you need help. Writing appointments are individual, while all other appointments are small group sessions.

Mission Statement - The mission of the Student Learning Center (SLC) is to provide services that will assist CSU, Chico students to become independent learners. The SLC prepares and supports students in their college course work by offering a variety of programs and resources to meet student needs. The SLC facilitates the academic transition and retention of students from high schools and community colleges by providing study strategy information, content subject tutoring, writing assistance, and supplemental instruction.

Tutoring Sign Ups Monday, 8/29, 9 am

Sign ups for tutoring sessions begin on Monday, Aug 29th, at 9:00 am.  The line forms outside of SSC 304.  Bring your Wildcat ID and your CLASS SCHEDULE with you!!  

To Cancel a Tutoring Appointment

Cancellations must be made before 8 am the day of your appointment. To cancel a tutoring appointment, click here and fill out our online form, or call us at 530-898-6839.

Drop-in Math Tutoring

The SLC offers drop-in math tutoring Monday through Thursday from 3-6 PM in SSC 340. 

Hours and Location

Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm   Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Note: No tutoring sessions are offered during Winter Intersession or Summer.
