Study Skills Workshops - Fall 2009

The Student Learning Center offers study skills and writing workshops to help students with academic success strategies they can put into practice. The topics that are offered each semester include time management, reading, memory, test taking, stress reduction, grammar, writing papers, and punctuation. Most study skills workshops last 50 minutes to an hour and most writing workshops are one and a half to two hours. Students who attended workshops in 2007-2008 reported that the top five study skills they developed were organization, better overall study habits, time management, preparing for exams, and improved study environment.

There is no charge to attend the workshops. Students can sign up in advance at the Student Learning Center, Student Services Center 340, or by calling 898-6839.
