It is the purpose of Chico State SME Production to provide the students with hands on experience with manufacturing and project management.  Our goal is to manufacture quality parts for companies around the north state area at a competitive price while providing income for the continual improvement of our department and educating better students.

Chico State Production's specialty lies in the area of small job shop capabilities in our 
non-ferrous foundry and conventional machine shop as well as speed and accuracy with 
CNC applications from Makino, Fadal and Mazak.

Some of the customers that we deal with on a regular basis includes AVL loom products, Spectra Physics of Oroville, and AeroUnion here in Chico.
