Path 4: Criminal Justice

This includes working at juvenile hall, in paroling, or working with community gang task forces, as well as attending law school. Students interested in this career path should consider taking these classes:

• Core: Sociology of Wealth and Inequality, Ethnic and Race Relations, Self and Society
• Institutions: Sociology of Law
• Electives: Sociology of Deviant Behavior, Youth, Crime and Delinquency, Sociology of Gangs
• Consider taking an Internship: County Probation Departments ( Butte , Glenn, etc.); Juvenile Hall
• Suggested Theme: Theme E - Ethics and Social Policy
• Suggested Minor: Criminal Justice
