Research Clearance Advice

Dear Colleagues:

First, thanks to all of you who replied to my query a few weeks ago about the current application process for research clearance. Since emails and other things have changed, I thought it might be useful to update everyone (and hopefully update our website).

Perhaps most importantly, the old email for costech no longer works. The main email is now: Rclearance@hotmail.com. Mr. Nguli does still work at COSTECH, and can be reached directly at: HNguli@hotmail.com.

A current application form is attached to this email. THREE copies of the form must sent to COSTECH, as well as three passport size photos and a $50 application fee in traveler's checks. You can also email your application, and send the accompanying materials by post. (I sent my package by USPS "Express Mail" which took ten days to arrive (!))

Once your application is approved, the research clearance fee is now $300. That leaves, of course, immigration, which I am not updated on. All I recall is a need for a copy of your research clearance approval, your CV and endless patience and good humor.
