ACTIVE LISTENING

    Active listening is not only hearing what is being said to you but also showing that you are listening.  It shows you are interested and involved in the conversation.  Active listening can be performed by:

• Eye contact.
• Non-verbal cues, such as head nods.
• Verbal cues, such as "yes" and "I understand".
• Asking questions in response to the conversation.
