
APPEARANCE AND PRESENTATION
Within the first five minutes of the interview, the interviewer will probably have
already made some assumptions about your character and ability. First impressions
are very important on the success of an interview. Here are some
tips that will help you to create a good impression:
- Arrive for the interview about 10 to 15 minutes early.
- Be courteous to everybody that you come in contact with (receptionists, co-workers,
etc...).
- Give a firm handshake.
- Make eye contact and smile.
- Have good posture and appearance.
- Communicate clearly and appropriately.
- Follow the lead of the interviewer and do not interrupt the conversation.
- Be relaxed and confident.
- Express interest and enthusiasm in the position.
- Ask questions.
