Steven Koch, PhD
Dr. Koch teaches candidates in the Concurrent, Education Specialist, Intern and Rural Teacher Residency Programs. He supervises intern candidates. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member at CSU, Chico, he worked for over 20 years as a psychologist, assistant principal, and co-teacher/counselor in Butte County Behavioral Health, Butte County Office of Education, and Chico Unified School District.
His areas of teaching include behavior management, assessment, special education law and collaboration. His research and writing focuses upon the use of webcam technology to remotely supervise teacher candidates and the application of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to classroom management.
