Special Education Credential
Special Education Credentials have become basic credentials, which no longer require a prerequisite Multiple or Single Subject Credential. Credentials offered at CSU, Chico are Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Disabilities Specialist Credentials, Level I and Level II. The program prepares future teachers to serve children, youth, and adults, who have special learning or emotional needs. Education specialists function in public schools or private settings as instructors and as consultants to teachers and families.
