Principles and Techniques of Career Counseling                                        Jennifer Robison

ARTICLE PRESENTATION

Each student is required to complete an article presentation.  This presentation will include both a written summary and oral presentation.

The article must relate to career counseling (e.g., labor market information, training and employment trends, occupational information).  You may obtain your article from journals, newspapers, magazines (Time, Newsweek, Business Week) or the Internet.  Please do not use popular newsstand magazines (e.g. Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, People).  If in doubt, please talk to me.

You will sign up to give a 5-minute oral presentation of your summary of the article to the class.  This presentation must include the conclusions of the article and how it relates to career counseling.  Points will be deducted if you just read your article to the class.

Your written summary and a copy of the article is due no later than one week after your oral presentation date.
