I decided to be a founding member of the philanthropy council because of my background in and passion for fundraising. It's so enriching to be a part of a cause that promotes education, opportunity and success for students like myself. I love being an executive member because I get to share my passion for this institution.

I joined the Student Philanthropy Council because I wanted to make a larger impact on my campus by fundraising for my fellow students and the amazing resources we get to utilize everyday. This council was also a way for me to step out of my comfort zone and challenge my fundraising abilities. It has been another great opportunity that will be part of my Chico experience forever.

Chico State has brought me numerous lifetime experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. Joining the Student Philanthropy Council allows me to give back to a community that has provided so much for me outside of what my tuition entails.

When you search the word "philanthropy" Google defines it as "the desire to promote the welfare of others" and our Chico State Student Philanthropy Council perfectly demonstrates that. I love Chico State and being able to promote something that is so important for everyone in the community.

I joined Student Philanthropy Council in order to part of an organization that helps not only me, but also my fellow students and university. I have already seen some of the results, and cant wait to see whats still in store.  We all already give back to so many things but helping our students and higher education now, will make such a huge impact on the our future leaders and their successes.

I think giving back to the university is important because it helps make sure that Chico State can continue to be great for future students to come. Giving back is the best way to express our gratitude for all the university has given us, whether it be friends, our degree, or our overall Chico Experience! Show your Chico Love!!!
