The California State University Golden Gate Chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers currently has a membership of 23 students and hopes to expand throughout the year. Our faculty advisor is Prof. Joe P. Greene who has just joined the Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Team, here at Chico State University. Recently we held our election for SPE Officers , which turned out to be quite successful. SPE members will meet with company's throughout Northern California, and will be involved in plastics related projects to gain a better understanding of the field and the people involved here at CSUC. Recently, we had our yearly membership photo taken to be included in the CSU, Chico yearbook. We are looking forward to guest speakers from industry coming to visit our campus and interact with the student organization. Our next meeting is Wednesday November 4that 5:00 PM in Plumas Hall #115.
