Eligibilty


Eligibility for TRiO Student Support Services is determined by federal regulations. To qualify, you must be working on your first-four-year degree, be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident and demonstrate a need for academic support. You also need to meet one of the following eligibilty criteria:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Be a first-generation college student.
  • Meet low-income guidelines based on family size.
  • Have a documented disability: To document your disability with the university please contact Disability Support Services.

SSS Application Process

All SSS participants must complete an application to determine eligibility and fit.

Process:

  1. Complete an SSS Application.
  2. Complete an Intake interview.
  3. Receive Acceptance.
Applications can be obtained in the EOP/SSS office, Student Services Center Room 310, or may be downloaded here. Acceptance into SSS is based on space availability, as well as the specific eligibility noted above. Students may apply at any time during the year (priority is given to those students who meet the initial fall deadline), and applications are reviewed on a continuous basis. When space is not available, eligible students are placed on a waiting list.
