Awards

Academic Staff Award

Designed to assist a staff employee who is furthering their educational goals. To be eligible, employees must be currently enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education. Award(s) are presented at the beginning of the spring semester and fall semesters. Award value is $250.

Staff Employee-of-the-Year

This award is presented to a staff employee of CSU, Chico for their outstanding service. Nominee must be a nonacademic, state, Research Foundation, University Foundation or Associated Student employee working at least half-time or greater. Award recipient is chosen based on personal contributions to the campus, their relationships with people and their University-wide service. The award is presented at the annual Spring Awards Luncheon, held in April.

Distinguished Retired Staff Award

Conferred to a retired or recently retiring staff member of the university who has contributed significantly to CSU, Chico. The award recipient is chosen based on their University-wide service as well as community service.

Staff Suggestion Merit Award

This award has been established to acknowledge outstanding suggestions submitted by staff members. Staff Council recognizes these individuals on a a semester basis with an award of $100. The suggestions are reviewed for their benefit to the university based on the intrinsic value of time, money, energy or safety that could be achieved.
