The Constitution needs revision to accomodate the need to expand the functions of the society. First, we need five Vice-Presidents, all of whom need to facilitate various committees (see home page). An expanded officer membership will allow the society to expand the active participation of its members by providing oversight to chapter functions.To do this, we need to explore what our chapter mission is. Planning is a critical part of a successful chapter.

Organization and Officer Information

List of STC Officer Duties

President

  • Organize and Administer the Chico State chapter of STC
  • Create a hard copy agenda for each meeting
  • Delegate specific duties for each officer to complete for each officer meeting

Vice-President In-Charge

  • Fills in for the absent president or asists president as asked
  • Promote and plan future activities
  • Coordinate ideas with the prsident and other officers

Vice-President Secretary

  • Keep minutes of STC officer and General meetings
  • Keep lists of members and addresses Keep up-to-date records of all STC membership
  • Keep lists of members and addresses
  • Alert the president to any non-STC members interested in becoming members
  • Publicize all meetings and activities

Vice-President Treasurer

  • Collect all monies
  • Keep accurate records of all funds and disbursements
  • Alert president to any non-STC members interested in becoming members
  • Keep members aware of current budget priorities

Vice-President Member-at-Large

  • Create committees to work on immediate areas of opportunity in STC
  • Plan monthly meeting of officers and committee chairpersons
  • Work with president and vice-president in promotion of all STC activities
  • Keep current of committee news and report at officer meetings
  • Involve new STC members in committees
