Dreamweaver 4.0 Tutorial

Part 5-Maintaining Sites

How to Maintain Your Site After Publishing

After you publish your site, you still need to maintain it, either to correct errors or to update it.

If you work with a team, Dreamweaver 4.0 lets you use Check-in and Check-out options, restricting access to a single file per person at any time. Synchronize local and remote files between your local server and remote server for easy maintenance.

You can use Design Notes to coordinate communication between design team members or simply to remind yourself of what changes you need to make. Design Notes lets you keep track of all of your revisions, decisions, and your project status.
