Part 6 Using Interactive Elements

What Kind of Interactive Elements Can I Use?

Dreamweaver 4.0 lets you easily include interactive elements to your Web pages. You can set up interactions in a variety of ways:

  • Add links to internal documents
  • Add links to external documents
  • Add complex JavaScript behaviors

Use the Objects panel to add design elements to your Web pages.

  • Create hypertext links and email links
  • Insert tables, images, and layers
  • Add buttons to create forms
  • Use Invisibles (buttons not seen in the browser window)
  • Draw Layout cells and tables

Use the property inspector to select documents for linking pages or use the Site window.

The Behavior panel lets you quickly add interactivity:

  • Add rollover images
  • Add browser detection
  • Add plug-in detection
  • Add navigation bars
  • Add jump menus
  • Add timelines
  • Add Flash buttons
