Part 6 Using Interactive Elements
What Kind of Interactive Elements Can I Use?
Dreamweaver 4.0 lets you easily include interactive elements to your Web pages. You can set up interactions in a variety of ways:
- Add links to internal documents
- Add links to external documents
- Add complex JavaScript behaviors
Use the Objects panel to add design elements to your Web pages.
- Create hypertext links and email links
- Insert tables, images, and layers
- Add buttons to create forms
- Use Invisibles (buttons not seen in the browser window)
- Draw Layout cells and tables
Use the property inspector to select documents for linking pages or use the Site window.
The Behavior panel lets you quickly add interactivity:
- Add rollover images
- Add browser detection
- Add plug-in detection
- Add navigation bars
- Add jump menus
- Add timelines
- Add Flash buttons
