1. Where do I get my WildcatMail account? One is created for you when you initialize your portal account. You can also go to the Student Computing computer lab in MLIB 116 for assistance with creating your portal account. 2. What is my full WildcatMail address? portal_username@mail.csuchico.edu, where portal_username is the username you use to login to the portal. 3. Where can I access my email account on campus? In the Open Access Labs or Department Labs. 4. Can I use other programs to access my WildcatMail? Yes! You can use any email client that supports IMAP, such as Outook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird. (see our Email Client Configuration page for instructions.) 5. What do I do if I forget my password or can't get into my account? Go to the help desk in the MLIB 116 computer lab. 6. How can I forward my WildcatMail to another email account? Click on this link to forward your Wildcat Mail to another email account 7. What if I don't want to use WildcatMail? If you prefer to use an email account other than WildcatMail, you can set up your WildcatMail to be forwarded to another account. To set up forwarding, use our WildcatMail Forwarding page. 8.How long can I keep my email after I graduate? WildcatMail and MyWeb accounts are only provided to students during the time period they are enrolled at CSU, Chico. A one semester grace period is offered in case students take an internship or a short break from school. |
