Activate your account
New and transfer students will be asked for their Chico State ID and date of birth to activate their account. Your Chico State ID can be found in your acceptance packet from the Admissions Office, as well as in other correspondence from Financial Aid and/or the Student Records & Registration Office.

Change your password and security questions
If you know your username and current password, you can change your password and your security questions and answers here.

Forgot your password?
If you have forgotten your password, you will be asked to provide your Portal username, Chico State ID, and answers to your security questions to be able to reset it.

General Portal Information

CSU, Chico has a Web-based portal system for use by new & current students, faculty, and staff. The portal provides access to a host of online services, including:

  • The PeopleSoft Self Service student information system (for registration, financial aid, fee payment, etc.)
  • WildcatMail
  • Online Course Resources (WebCT and WebCT Vista)
  • Personal calendar (via WebCT)
  • Campus Announcements
  • A page customizable by the user
