Student Home
When you login, you are taken to the Student Home page of the Portal. All of the content in each section of the portal is displayed in boxes called channels.
- The My Bookmarks channel contains links that provide quick access to important campus resources and can also be customized with your own bookmarks
- Student Email provides links for checking your WildcatMail and setting your WildcatMail to forward to another email address
- The My Calendar channel contains a link to your personal calendar inside WebCT
- You can keep track of events, to-do lists and reminders about upcoming assignments or tests – just like a day planner
- Also, since this calendar is part of the WebCT system, any events that your instructors have entered into each of your course calendars will appear on your personal calendar as well
- Inside the My Course Resources channel are links that take you directly into the WebCT areas for each of your current courses
- If you need to access WebCT courses you took in prior terms, click the My WebCT Home link
- The Administrative Announcement channel will contain important announcements from the Portal’s system administrators
- The Student Announcements channel contains links to each item in the weekly Student Announcements. Clicking on one of these links opens the text of that announcement within the channel
- Lastly, the five-day weather forecast for Chico can be viewed in the Chico Weather channel
