Information for Accepted Exchange Students
Attention Exchange Students! Before applying, please read the following carefully:
Students coming to California State University, Chico as an International Exchange Student are slightly different from other International Students (see below). Most of the information on the International Student Services web page will be useful to you. HOWEVER, some of the information (e.g. University Fees and Course Registration) may not apply to you. If you ever have any questions or concerns, contact Team Study Abroad: exchange@csuchico.edu.
Exchange students must apply to CSU, Chico through their home campus.
Once we are in receipt of your application and endorsement by your home campus, you will receive support and regular updates from Team Study Abroad.
How exchange students differ from other international students:
- Only attend CSU, Chico for one semester or academic year (not degree-seeking)
- Do not pay fees or tuition at CSU, Chico.
- Receive one-on-one pre-departure advising from Study Abroad advisers
- Enrolled in courses by Study Abroad advisers (don't have to do it on your own)
- Invited to participate in the International Buddy Program

While preparing to come to Chico, you will find you have many questions. We are very happy to assist you!
