International Education

Virtually all majors at Chico State are offered somewhere in the world. Students who demonstrate flexibility in choosing their study abroad destination and plan ahead with their academic advisor are usually able to fit coursework taken abroad into their major or minor plan. This page was designed for students who are looking for a program compatible with their current major or minor or are looking for a new major/minor with an international focus!

Majors & Minors with an International Focus

Chico State has several interdisciplinary area studies programs which make excellent minors or second majors.  You can often “double count” courses toward certain majors or toward your general education requirements.  We offer study abroad opportunities in numerous regions around the world. For more information on your options, please visit the International Languages, Literatures & Cultures Department.
