Northern Italy Peer Advisor

Kylie Kirk is the Study Abroad Peer Advisor for Italy. After two years attending CSU Chico, she really wanted to seize the opportunity while she could and study abroad her junior year. She spent the entire 2010-2011 school year studying in Torino, Italy and loved every second of it. Although she loves Chico, she also loves change and experiencing new things, and by studying abroad change is exactly what Kylie got. From the Italian culture and big city living to the language and the food, everything was new and exciting. Not to mention the amazing traveling she got to squeeze in when she wasn’t occupied with school. Her major is Interior Design and her minors are Marketing and European Studies, and she was able to work on all of those areas while in Torino. Sure there were some bumps along the way, but there was never anything terrible enough to make her regret, even the tiniest bit, studying abroad. Everything, the positives and the negatives, were learning experiences and she has definitely grown as a person because of them. Now, after studying abroad Kylie feels so passionately about the experience that she believes every student should take this incredible opportunity, and she can’t wait to help make it happen.
