Spain Peer Advisor

I am currently a Senior double majoring in International Relations and Spanish at Chico State. Studying abroad at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain improved my academic knowledge of the beautiful country. I was able to embrace the culture and attain complete Spanish fluency. This experience provided me with cultural awareness and life-long skills that I am able to apply to my every day life today. Most importantly, it gave me a worldly perspective and taught me to appreciate cultures and their customs. While abroad, my adventures led me to travel through nearly all of Spain, most of Western Europe, and a few countries in Eastern Europe. Everything from strolling through the cities plazas, waking up to a lovely Spanish melody, the intensifying flamenco performances, bullfights, cuisine, and the people will always remain a part of my everlasting memories. These are all things that can be experienced when you have the opportunity to view the world through a new set of eyes. I highly encourage everyone to study abroad, it is truly a life-changing experience and for that matter upon graduation, I plan on returning to the country I fell in love with and pursuing my dream to become a member of the Spanish embassy.
