Cecilia (Ceci) Fernandez is a Senior majoring in Latin American Studies and minoring in Health Science at Chico State. So far, studying abroad in Santiago, Chile, where she was able to experience the beauty and amazing culture of South America has been the highlight of her college experience. She fell in love with the people, country, and endless adventures that come with immersing yourself in another culture. Feeling the buzz of the city, speaking Spanish, tango dancing, 13 hour bus rides… what’s not to love? From the deep south of Patagonia to the Northern Atacama desert; Chile has endless places to explore. The friendships and life lessons that come out of a study abroad experience are absolutely life-changing, and EVERYONE should study abroad!
