Chico Unified School District partnered with SolarCity to install five solar systems throughout the District. In this innovative arrangement, SolarCity builds and maintains the systems, and the District pays them for the green energy they produce.  The solar PV system at Chico High’s parking lot offsets 70% of the school’s annual electricity usage, which equates to a greenhouse gas reduction of roughly half a million pounds of CO2 a year. During the tour you will see all the aspects of the solar system, and have all your solar questions answered!
