Our Sustainable Future - CSU, Chico
At Chico State, we are committed to our role and responsibility as a public institution to serve the community by creating educated, informed, and engaged citizens. We believe that civic engagement and service learning contribute to student learning and success, preparing more effective contributors to society. More than 60 faculty members are already involved in environmental teams and projects. It also has a responsibility to raise funds from private and public partners to support the work of the center.

Although Chico State's program is still in the development stages, the American Democracy Project is a priority on this campus. It is a goal to train student leaders and imaginative citizens by deepening our involvement in the American Democracy Project and to engage students to participate in outreach to the community on issues of mutual concern, e.g., environment.
