Sustainability at Chico State

Sustainability at Chico State

Chico State has long been a sustainability trailblazer. In 2007, Chico State was a founding signatory of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (PDF). This climate commitment is an outward expression of our campus’s leadership in charting a path toward a more sustainable campus community and our commitment to address climate change by reducing and ultimately neutralizing greenhouse gas emissions and to accelerate research and educational efforts to equip students for a more sustainable future.

We are proud to have a student body exhibiting extraordinary sustainability leadership in and around our campus.  Our incredible faculty and staff are also just as committed to building a sustainable future grounded in science and practicality.
