Scholarships
CSU, Chico School of Social Work is pleased to announce that
beginning fall 2005 a scholarship has been established for MSW
students in our program. This year applications will be through
the School of Social Work Scholarship Committee. The amount of
the scholarship award is $5000 to be distributed $2500 in the
fall semester and $2500 in the spring semester.
The Victor Treatment Centers MSW Scholarship will be offered
only to full-time students within the MSW program.
- The recipient may be in either the Professional Foundation
year or the Concentration Year of their MSW program.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in
order to be eligible for continued funding in subsequent semesters/years.
- The recipient’s personal statement must reflect the
values and interests of those who could be employed within the
Victor Family of Programs (see VICTOR
TREATMENT CENTERS GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION)
- Students receiving the Federal Title IV-E Child Welfare Training
Stipend, or any other stipend during their MSW program will
not be eligible for this award.
- Preference will be given to those MSW students who are planning
to focus on children’s services and in particular, children’s
psychiatric services, which could lead to employment within
the Victor Family of Programs.

and one from field supervisor)
