Amber has been working in the field of child welfare for nine years as a social worker and supervisor, and has developed facilitation programs in Shasta County that have supported direct access of services for substitute care providers and birth parents. She is involved in the Parent Leadership community, and has experience completing family assessments for families with complex social systems. For the past two years, Amber has been a coordinator and trainer for Safe Care, an evidenced-based, in-home parenting education program for families at risk of child abuse and neglect. Additionally, Amber has presented at the 2012 International Child Abuse and Neglect Conference.
