Bachelor of Arts Social Work Scholarships

The School of Social Work considers requests for its the social work scholarships only after an applicant has declared Social Work as their major. The Social Work program has the following undergraduate scholarships available:

Archie McDonald Social Work Academic Excellence Scholarship
$500 award to graduating senior for academic excellence.

Archie McDonald Social Work Professional Service Scholarship
$500 award to graduating senior based on service to the program and field of social work.

Archie McDonald Social Work Sophomore Scholarship
$500 award to sophomore (at time of selection) for professional promise in the field of social work and demonstrated financial need.

Art Preciado Memorial Scholarship
$300 award to graduating senior with financial need who has been accepted as a SWRK major and demonstrates promise in the field of social work.

Mary (Dolly) French Memorial Scholarship
Varied award ($300-400) for any level social work student, based on academic need.

Paul Martinsen Memorial Scholarship
$150 award to junior or senior social work student with emphasis in Gerontology to be used for books.

Outstanding BSW Student
$100 award to faculty-nominated student leader with excellent academic skills.
