The Praxis Series: Professional Assessments for Beginning Teachers

The Praxis Series, developed and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS) with input from educators, state agencies, and professional organizations, are standardized, secure examinations that provide measures of academic achievements and proficiencies for individuals entering or completing college or provisional teacher preparation programs and for individuals in professional areas.

Praxis II: Subject Assessments measure general and subject-specific pedagogical skills and knowledge. Some of the Subject Assessments were developed jointly by ETS and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
