A popular presidential candidate is dead, and his power-hungry wife thrusts her son into the political spotlight. Her brother-in-law joins her maniacal scheming, and the three make up one of the most dysfunctional almost-first families this side of real life Washington politics.

Shakespeare’s Ophelia finds herself in a neo-Elizabethan Appalachian setting where Gertrude runs a brothel, Hamlet is called a Rude Boy and nothing is what it seems. Ophelia cuts a new path for herself in this mirrored world of word-scraps and cold sex.

On the Verge (Theatre)

April 2–5 (7:30 p.m.), April 6 (2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.), April 7 (2 p.m.) - Wismer Theatre

This barebones production follows three Victorian lady adventurers as they spin through time travel in a play that is both joyfully feminist as well as a masterpiece of rhythm and word.

The Music Man (Spring Musical)

Fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band, but his plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian.
