In May 1978 Cindy received her BA degree from CSU, Chico, with an emphasis on business, political science and management. Since completing her degree she has worked on campus in several staff positions (Philosophy, English, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Graduate School and University Public Events) prior to beginning her run in Theatre Arts. She provides administrative support to the department chair, faculty and staff in the Theatre Arts Department where she serves as office manager for the Theatre Arts Office and Court Theatre. She prepares and tracks production budget for the department's Instructionally Related Activities, School of the Arts and State General Funds, and Foundation accounts; as well as working on catalog and scheduling curriculum, and any other department business that may arise throughout the school year.

While attending Chico State, she met her husband Jarald Davidson. They live in Chico and have an irrigation advising business, a mandarin orange ranch, a small flock of sheep, and timber property in Northern California. Their two daughters, Jamie and Erin, were born in Chico.
