Cynthia currently teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced
levels of acting, voice for performance and introduction to the
theatre. She also teaches Children’s Literature in Performance
and Literature in Performance.
Recent directing at CSUC includes: Proof, Birds,
and Spinning Into Butter. Other directing includes Art
at the Chico Creek Theatre Festival (Blue Room) , Twelfth Night
at Shakespeare in the Park (Chico) and Crimes of the Heart
at the Youngstown Playhouse in Ohio.
Recent acting includes: Beth in Dinner With Friends at
the Chico Cabaret, Mrs. Peachum in The Threepenny Opera
at CSUC and L’il Bil in How I Learned To Drive at
The Blue Room.
Professional acting credits include 22 productions as a resident
and guest actress with the Alley Theatre in Houston as well as roles
at other regional theatres, off-Broadway in New York and on national
tour.
She has taught in London as part of Chico State’s London
Semester.
Cynthia is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and the
Association for Theatre in Higher Education.
