Keeping Dance Alive

Keeping Dance Alive is a repertory dance concert that is going into its 14 th year. It is a community-based concert that also gives Chico State choreographers and dancers another opportunity to perform in a professional setting. It also utilizes student technical and backstage crew.

Theatre Arts Department professor Sheree Henning has been involved with the Chico Community Ballet for the last ten years and KDA since its inception either as a dancer, choreographer and/or director. She graduated with a BA from CSU, Chico in Physical Education with an emphasis in Dance. Currently, she teaches ballet, tap and jazz at Chico Creek Dance Centre and beginning and intermediate jazz and tap for the Theatre Arts Department at CSU, Chico . She also does choreography for local community theatre.
