1.   I completed the Not Anymore training last year, why do I have to take it again?

Completing the Not Anymore Refresher training is a requirement for all continuing Chico State students each academic year. It was rolled out to all continuing students in fall 2016. The Refresher training is separate from the Not Anymore training required for all newly enrolled students (freshman, transfer, and graduate), which is required only during the first term.

2.   I’m graduating this fall/spring. How will the registration hold affect me?

The registration hold prevents students from enrolling courses for the following term. It will not prevent a student from graduating, or delay the conferral of a degree.

3.   Why do I have to take this training?

At Chico State, we believe violence is preventable and that everyone has a role to play in preventing violence from occurring. All Chico State students are required to take the Not Anymore program as one piece of a larger effort to promote this idea.

4.   How long is the Not Anymore training?

Each user’s experience will vary and the length of the module is dependent on whether you are a new or continuing student. The program for new freshman will take approximately 80-90 minutes to complete. The program for new transfer and graduate students will take approximately 50-60 minutes. The program for continuing students will take approximately 30 minutes.

5.   What if I need technical assistance while taking Not Anymore?

If you experience technical difficulties while taking Not Anymore, click the HELP button at the top right of the program window, or contact Student Success via email at terrylynn.pearlman@studentsuccess.org. Be sure to provide your Chico State ID# (located on the front of your Wildcat Card), first and last name and the best way to reach you. You should receive a response within 24 hours.

6.   How do I get to the Not Anymore training webpage?

The training is accessed through your Chico State Portal. View Not Anymore instructions.

8.   Are there other options for completing the Title IX training besides the Not Anymore online training?

All newly enrolled (or incoming) students are required to complete the initial Not Anymore Title IX training, but there are alternatives for completing the required annual refresher training.

20.  What security measures are in place to protect my personally identifiable information (PII) that I am asked to provide in order to complete the program?

Chico State’s Information Security team has thoroughly reviewed the technical components of Not Anymore and approved the program for student use based on the strength of the security measures utilized. Additionally, Student Success has provided the following information regarding the limited personal information you are asked to provide so Chico State can verify your participation:

All PII and training progress data (i.e. videos watched, tests completed, scores, etc.) are stored separately from actual response data. All response data is indexed via an anonymized value that is linked back to a student via an encrypted key. The only time that the response data is presented combined with PII is during the actual training session while the student is logged in. The combined response data/PII exists strictly within computer memory and is never written to disk. As soon as the student logs out or their session times out, the link between response data and PII is severed. From that point on, no data that contains sensitive information, such as demographics, sexual identity, and religious identity is ever prepared, stored or released in conjunction with PII.

For more information on how student data is handled with Not Anymore, please visit: https://title9.studentsuccess.org/company/privacy-policy.

21.  I completed Not Anymore and now realize I want to report an incident of sexual misconduct at Chico State and/or involving Chico State community members to the University.  What should I do?

Please contact Chico State’s Title IX Coordinator at 530-898-4949.

22.  Will I have to complete a pre-test or post-test survey about my personal opinions or experiences related to sexual misconduct from what I learned?

No. However, there is a post-training survey that gauges students’ knowledge about the training topic itself. Students must earn a score of at least 80% on the post-training survey and will be prompted to retake the post-test until this score is achieved.
