Comments were made by faculty that they were disappointed in WebCT’s Vendor presentation on the session for “teaching and learning” – differing opinions as to why was. It was felt some questions weren’t answered; were ignored. Faculty felt they weren’t directly addressed. Suggest that WebCT improve that relationship with faculty when they present. WebCT did NOT model good teaching practices during their presentation. We want to nurture and expand that relationship with faculty and WebCT.

Comments that reports of Blackboard support and service were bad, bordering on unacceptable.

Ideas for faculty to be included on the LMS migration team. Volunteers were Cris Guenter, Michael Spiess, Lorraine Gardiner, Cindy Jorth and Brian Oppy. They want to “upgrade this collaborative relationship” between Chico and WebCT.

In the report, mention that we reviewed other Vendors besides Blackboard and WebCT.

Mention why they were dropped off the list.

Include in the Appendix the two rubrics we developed. In fact, share them with the CSUs or the public via the web site, removing all content of our evaluation.

The report should address the rational for a change of LMS on our campus. Committee wants to be able to share in the reporting process, make contributions. Suggest we include an article in Inside Chico about our volunteer committte, why it worked, composition of committee, process, etc.
