Each year, the campus presents more than 500 festivals, exhibits, concerts, lectures, athletic, and arts events. Music, theatre arts, and recording arts offer several venues for performing.

The newly expanded student union features 35,000 square feet of space for the student government and the student-owned bookstore, deli, and retail store.

Big Chico Creek meanders through the center of campus after flowing through 3,600-acre Bidwell Park, the third largest municipal park in the nation.

There are more than 240 student organizations on campus and numerous opportunities for volunteer service.
