Faculty Drop-in Lab and Phone Support

Our lab is located in the basement of Meriam Library, room 003. Our resources are available to all faculty and staff to support the use and adoption of instructional technology on campus. The lab is staffed by knowledgeable students with diverse skills in instructional design, graphics, video production and information technology. The student staff are backed up by TLP's Instructional Technology Consultants (ITCs).

Lab Equipment

  • 8 Windows XP-based stations
  • 3 Macintosh video/audio editing stations
  • 2 Windows XP audio recording booths with professional microphones
  • Streaming media digitizing station to record from VHS, DVD or DV media.
  • High-speed sheet-feeder scanners for digitizing text and articles
  • Flatbed and slide scanners for digitizing photos, slides and negatives
  • VHS, DVD and miniDV video decks and video cameras

  • Adobe Creative Suite 2 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Acrobat Pro 8)
  • Respondus Quiz Builder
  • Final Cut Pro, iMovie and iDVD for video editing and DVD authoring
  • Camtasia screen recording software for producing demo movies
  • Nero Burning ROM for CD/DVD Authoring
  • Audacity and Peak Professional audio editing software
