Regarding: Sexual Assault on Campus

Late yesterday, a female student reported that she had been sexually assaulted on Sunday, 05/03/15, between 2:10 and 2:25 a.m., near the stop sign where College Drive intersects with the Stadium Lot. The assault consisted of a forcible act of sexual penetration, a violation of California Penal Code section 289(a)(1)(A). After assaulting the female student, the suspect ran south between the Health Center and Track Stadium.

The female student did not recognize the suspect. She described him as either a White or Hispanic male, in his early to mid twenties, about 6’ 3”, with a muscular build. He had brown hair, which was buzzed in the back and slightly longer on top.

The report has been taken by the University Police Department and remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the University Police Department at 530-898-5555.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings.
  • If you are going from one location to another on campus, consider using the Campus Connection Shuttle Service after dark. Use the blue light phones on campus or call 530-898-5555 to ask for a ride. The shuttle travels to the main campus, parking structure, parking lots and University Village.
