Children's Music Composer–Performer Dr. Noize joins the North State Symphony

The North State Symphony's annual youth concert is perfect for all ages! In this concert, the symphony will be playing some of the most famous music ever written, part of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, as well as a wide variety of other tunes. And they have a special guest: Dr. Noize!

Dr. Noize is Cory Cullinan, who was born in 1969 and spent his first 36 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. After attending Stanford University, he began teaching and composing music, including Spy Game in 2001, and documentary soundtracks to films shown everywhere from the Sundance Film Festival and PBS to Air Force training sessions.

In 2007 Cory created his Dr. Noize character and began devoting himself to music for children and families. Dr. Noize wrote both a recording and book called The Ballad Of Phineas McBoof, which included "Banana," a hit song on XM Kids Radio. As word spread, the buzz spread from kids to parents to college music professors, and scored awards ranging from a Parents Choice Award to being named one of Dr. Toy's 100 Best Children's Products.

Dr. Noize, a friend since college of North State Symphony Music Director Kyle Pickett, performs across the country in family-oriented shows sharing the glory of music in all its varieties.
