Your Business & Our Children
Linking businesses, classrooms, children, and the arts is the goal of Chico Performances' Adopt-A-Class program. The Adopt-A-Class program allows classes to attend field trips at no cost to the students.
Businesses and individuals can sponsor a school, teacher, or classroom of their choice. For a donation of $175, one class may attend one field trip. For a donation of $350, one class may attend two field trips, or two classes may attend one field trip. For a donation of $1,400, one class may attend eight field trips, or eight classes may attend one field trip.
The Adopt-A-Class program is in its tenth year with a schedule of 24 live performances for the 2007–2008 season. The program is now accepting
donations from businesses and individuals to sponsor classrooms to attend one or more of these live events.
The Adopt-A-Class program was developed as an opportunity for businesses and organizations to help underwrite children's exposure to the arts. Business or personal donations enable classes to attend field trips at no cost to the students, teachers, or the district! For the 2007–2008 season, the program received major funding from US Bank.
Chico Performances started the Adopt-A-Class program with a grant from the City of Chico and its Arts Commission in 1997. More than 62 classrooms participated in the 2006–2007 Adopt-A-Class project, with 39 businesses and individuals adopting classrooms.

With your donation to Adopt-A-Class, teachers no longer worry about finding funds to bring their classes to the high-quality field trips offered by Chico Performances. These trips enrich their curriculum and create treasured memories for their students.
Parents
Parents benefit from Adopt-A-Class through their children's introduction to the world of performing arts at no cost to them. The Adopt-A-Class
program expands their children's horizons and enriches their learning experience.
Performers
Performers directly share their artistry with our community's children. They teach the next generation of performers and audience members through the field trip performances and by speaking with the children before and after their presentations.
