2008–2009 Chico Performances Field Trip Listings

May 19–July 25, 2008
Field trip lottery orders may be mailed, faxed or brought to the University Box Office and must be received by July 25th. In order for all teachers to have equal access to Field Trips, orders will be entered into a lottery to be drawn the last week in July. As orders are chosen every attempt will be made to fill your first choices, but in the event a field trip is sold out, we will try to fill your second choice. Order forms must be complete and include a phone number where the teacher or purchaser can be reached during the summer months. Incomplete order forms will not be processed. *Each teacher is limited to 80 seats per field trip.

July 26–August 2, 2008
Mail-in and fax orders will be filled in the order they are received. Walk-ups and phone calls will not be accepted at this time.

August 4, 2008
The University Box Office opens for all 2008–2009 ticket sales, including Field Trip sales. Beginning August 4, walk-up, phone, and fax orders will be accepted. After August 4 you may purchase any amount of Field Trip seats you wish. Starting August 4, 2008, the University Box Office hours are Monday–Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A guide to making your Chico Performances
Field Trip to Laxson Auditorium a pleasant experience.
The following rules pertain to
Chico Performances Field Trips:

  • In order for your Field Trip order to be processed in a timely manner, all Field Trip forms must be filled out completely. This includes:
  • Failure to fill out the Field Trip form completely may result in your Field trip order not being filled and returned to you.

  • For all Field Trip orders prior to August 4, total seats for each individual Field Trip must be 80 or under. If more than 80 seats per Field Trip are ordered for a single Field Trip performance, your order will be returned to you unprocessed.

  • Please check the date and time on your ticket for conflicts with your school calendar. There is a $10 exchange fee for each Field Trip exchanged. All Field Trip exchanges must occur at least 14 days prior to the Field Trip at the University Box Office.


  • Please gather your ENTIRE group before entering the Auditorium, and before getting into the Field Trip line outside the auditorium. Seating is on a first come, first served basis, and seats cannot be held for late comers from your group.

  • Doors open for Field Trips at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Field Trips start at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Field Trips last approximately 50 minutes.

  • Please bring the Field Trip ticket with your group to the Field Trip performance for admittance.

  • The number of seats purchased on this ticket must reflect seats for all students, chaperones and drivers.

  • Food, drink, cameras, video, and recording devices are NOT allowed in Laxson Auditorium.

  • Please call the University Box Office if you have disability seating requirements at least 14 days before your Field Trip date.

  • CSU, Chico does not have bus parking available on the campus. Bus drop off and pick up is located on Arcadian Ave, next to Holt Hall (see map). Buses are NOT allowed to drop off or pick up at First and Salem Streets. Buses are NOT allowed to park at Bidwell Mansion.

  • Private vehicle parking is available at city lots. Please bring adequate change to cover your meter fees.

  • For additional information on making your Field Trip experience a memorable one, or for disability seating requests, contact the University Box Office at (530) 898-6333. Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday 3 p.m.–6 p.m.

    The University Box Office reserves the right to refuse admission to any person or group not following the above Field Trip guidelines.
