“Witty, buoyant, and wickedly attentive.” - The Gazette

This stellar ensemble began their musical journey in Toronto in 1989, and that journey has brought them to Northern California where, as the string quartet in residence at Stanford University, they direct the University’s chamber music program. The quartet is committed to working with contemporary composers, most recently performing a premiere of John Adams’ work for quartet and symphony with the Baltimore Symphony. SLSQ is considered one of the foremost interpreters of Haydn’s quartets and in their concert at Zingg Recital Hall, they’ll be performing works by both Haydn and Adams.

Sibelius: String Quartet in D minor, Op. 56, "Voces intimae"
