“ . . . a tour de force. Hong evoked a kind of Beatlemania when he came on stage . . . What a showman! What a musician!” — Santa Barbara News-Press

Alpin Hong’s energetic and passionate performances have drawn praise from many and have earned him the moniker “pianistic firebrand” from The New York Times after his standing–room–only performance at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Along with virtuosic piano technique and thrilling emotion, Mr. Hong also brings humor and an easy ability to relate with audiences to all of his concerts. Award-winning pianist Alpin Hong serves as the first True North Artist in Residence.

Performance Selections Will Include:

Mozart — variations on “Ah! Vous dirai-je Maman”
Rachmaninoff — Prelude in G# minor and transcription of Liebeslied by Kreisler
Mendelssohn — Variations Serieuses
Mussorgsky — Pictures at an Exhibition
Gershwin — Rhapsody in Blue
